Saving Hands. Healing Hands.
Four visible hands belonging to personnel with the Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) team are
giving medication to a newborn. The 4-day-old baby is safely aboard the enormous USAF C-17 Globemaster III
aircraft. He's in the care of the large ECMO medical team specifically sent from United States Air Force 59th
Medical Wing, Wilford Hall Medical Center (located at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, USA) to Commonwealth
of Puerto Rico (USA) to bring him to San Antonio, Texas, USA, for specialized care.
