Relative to acknowledging and recognizing the late Reverend Francis Marion Price and those who assisted him and contributed to the translation of the Gospels, Psalms, and Acts of the Apostles of the Holy Bible into the Chamorro language. Full text of Resolution No. 87(LS).
Relative to acknowledging, recognizing and thanking Susan Margaret Gay Kirk for her donation to the University of Guams Richard Flores Taitano Micronesian Area Research Center, a copy of the 1908 diglot edition of the Gospels, Psalms, and Acts of the Apostles of the Holy Bible, commonly known as the Chamorro Bible, and to acknowledging, recognizing and thanking the Taitano family for their contribution and assistance in the translation of portions of the Holy Bible into the Chamorro language. Relative to acknowledging and recognizing those who contributed to the discovery, reemergence, and promotion of the 1908 Chamorro translation of the Gospels, Psalms, and Acts of the Apostles of the Holy Bible, commonly known as the Chamorro Bible, and to extending a heartfelt dangkolo na si Yuos maåse for their tremendous contributions to preserving Guams precious heritage, history, and language.
